Oregano

Oregano is a herb native to the Mediterranean. It is closely related to Marjoram with Oregano being the more pungent of the two. It has a sharp, spicy flavour with a lingering lemony taste. It is used in many cuisines the world over especially Italian and Greek cooking. It pairs especially well with basil.
