Turmeric is considered to be the ‘master spice. It is likely the most scientifically studied spice in the world. Ayurvedic healers are familiar with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and analgesic properties. It is a rhizome like ginger and has a distinctive rich, earthy flavor. The compound called curcumin is what gives turmeric it’s yellowish orange color. A little black ground pepper increases the bioavailability of this compound considerably so they should always be used together. Our turmeric has a particularly high level of curcumin (6%) which you will notice with the aroma and beautiful color. Many nutritional scientists would agree that if you only used one spice, it should be turmeric.
Suggested uses - Mix one teaspoon of Turmeric Latte with 250ml of the mlk of your choice. Simmer for 3-5 minutes, strain and serve. Add a teaspoon of the sweetener of your choice or to taste. Our Turmeric Latte mix has NO sugar added. It is normal for some spice blend to settle to the bottom of your mug.
