Harissa is a North African hot sauce. It most often comes in paste form and is used in Middle Eastern and North African cuisine. We make ours as a dry blend which can be used as a dry rub or an easy tabletop condiment when mixed with water and a little olive oil. Perfect for sprinkling over eggs, pepping up soups and tagines, or mixing with butter to melt over grilled lamb or steak. You can reduce the heat by adding tomatoes.
