Habanero Chili Flakes

Habanero is a very hot chili with sweet, warm floral and citrus notes.

Flavour: Bright, fruity and slightly floral, with notes of apricot, tropical fruit and citrus, and a gentle smoky sweetness when dried. Most hot chillies just taste hot. With habanero you notice the fruit first, before the heat arrives.

How the heat arrives:

• It starts slowly. For a few seconds you mostly taste fruit.
• Then it builds fast. The heat climbs over 10–30 seconds into a strong, sharp burn.
• You feel it at the back of the mouth and throat, more than on the lips or the tip of the tongue.
• It lasts. The peak holds for several minutes and fades slowly, with a long, warm finish.
